There is one important question we have to answer if we’re looking for the best grape juicer.
Do we buy a juicer or do we buy something completely different that might not have crossed your mind? Let’s see what I mean.
A juicer, either a centrifugal juicer or a masticating juicer, is an appliance that squeezes juice out from the pulp of many fruits and veggies.
This is the type we need if we want to make juice from a combination of ingredients or even from just a singular fruit or vegetable. This is the kind I recommended as the best juicer for beets or the best juicer for pineapple.
So, juicers are awesome if we’re processing a few pounds of ingredients in a quick amount of time. These are the options we want if we’re looking for the best grape juicer to make a juice daily or on a regular basis. And they’re also great because we can make juices from a variety of ingredients and they all get combined in a container.
On the other hand, there are other appliances we can use if we’re looking for the best grape juicer and these are completely different from the classic centrifugal or masticating juicers.
When I reviewed the best juicer for tomatoes, I reviewed a tomato strainer that could be used for juicing grapes in big quantities by simply buying an accessory called a grape spiral that costs around $10. The whole package ends up costing less than $100. We can process even 100 pounds of grapes or more without problems.
Another thing we can consider when shopping for the best grape juicer is a canning juice steamer extractor or a fruit juicer steamer which consists of a bunch of pots stacked one on top of the other.

Best Grape Juicer Reviews
As you saw, there are plenty of options to choose from as the best grape juicer.
If you want a juicer that can be used daily/frequently to make juice from a variety of fruits and veggies, then I favor three picks: the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine, the Breville Juice Fountain Plus Juicer, and the Omega NC900 Cold Press Juicer Machine. The first two are centrifugal models and the last from Omega is a masticating model.
Among the three, the one from Hamilton Beach is the cheapest, with an affordable price under $100.
But if you have a more generous budget, I absolutely recommend checking out the Breville model if you want the speed of a centrifugal juicer but don’t mind the noise.
Or check out the Omega NC900 if you want the advantages that a masticating juicer can offer.
On the other hand, if you want to process a very big quantity of grapes, especially for canning or for making jelly or whatever, then I recommend a canning juice steamer extractor. It can also be called a fruit juicer steamer.
My favorite is the Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor, which has a price under $150 but it comes with the possibility of lasting a lifetime since this is not an electric kitchen appliance. It’s a stack of pots that will extract juice through steam for jelly and canning from a variety of fruits: grapes, berries of all kinds, apples, citrus fruits, etc.
The more expensive alternative is the Mehu-Liisa 11 Liter Stainless Steel Steam Juicer.
Last but not least, we have the Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250 for which we can buy an optional grape spiral and process pounds upon pounds of grapes with a manual tomato strainer that costs less than $100.
Another fruit that can be juiced by a variety of machines and tools is pomegranate. Check out my reviews for the best pomegranate juicer if you want to see what I’m talking about.
1. Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor: Overall the Best Grape Juicer
I think the Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor can be wonderful for a lot of people but I can also understand why other people will need a juicer not a juice steam extractor that is used for larger quantities of fruits.
However, the Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor is quite easy to use, it can last a lifetime because there’s no electrical component, and it can process large amounts of grapes.
Plus, the price under $150 is quite decent when we consider what it offers. Overall, it’s my favorite pick as the best grape juicer.
Components
It looks like 3 stainless steel pots stacked one on top of the other with a stainless steel lid on top and a hose with a clamp sticking out.
It’s a very simple structure with simple components but it’s quite brilliant.
The 3 pots, the one in the middle being the biggest, are made of stainless steel with an aluminum disc layered in the bottom. It ensures an even and quick heat distribution and it prevents hot spots. It’s a construction often encountered in pans and pots.
Of course, these 3 pots can also be used separately as a stockpot and steamer. We just have to remove the pan in the middle and the tube if we want to use it as a steamer for veggies, fish, etc.
It has multiple uses.
The side loop handles on each level allow for safe carrying, which is definitely appreciated.
The stainless steel lid on top fits securely to keep in heat and moisture.
Thus, the 5 components are:
- water/cooking pan
- juice pan
- strainer/steamer pan
- lid
- hose with clamp
All these components that make up the Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor should be washed by hand.
The whole thing weighs 8.5 pounds.
Features
The 11 quart capacity allows us to juice or steam large amounts of fruits and vegetables.
The pots are widely compatible. They work on gas, electric, glass, halogen, ceramic, etc.
It’s also very easy to use.
We add fruit in the pot on top, the one we put the lid on, and we have a strainer for fruits.
The stockpot, the one in the middle, is used for collecting the juice.
In order to cook the fruits through steam, we add water in the pan on the bottom and boil on the stovetop on low to medium.
Steam will extract juice that drips into the center levels and we use the hose with the clamp to collect it.
However, be careful because the juice will be hot. I recommend wearing gloves.
We can use the juice for drinking as soon as it cools down or it can be used for jelly, syrup, etc.
People mention that the Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor makes canning grape juice a breeze.
It is a large capacity juicer that people mention that it’s easier to use than a tomato strainer with a grape spiral and I totally agree on that. Because if we’re using a tomato strainer with a grape spiral to make grape juice, we have to crank a handle continuously and push the grapes towards the spiral with the plunger.
A user stated that 1 quart of fruit has so far yielded 1 quart of juice (plus 1 quart of pear sauce). That’s impressive.
Someone else mentions that they have canned 63 quarts of juice off two grape vines, while their previous record was 36 quarts. This steamer gets all the juice and it’s the easiest thing to use, without much effort or time invested.
2. Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine: Good Value for Money
Let’s make a few things clear because the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine won’t be for absolutely everyone, which is great because we have so many wonderful options to choose from as the best grape juicer.
One thing I want to make clear is that this centrifugal model is very noisy. If you turn it on in the morning, you’ll wake up the entire house and your neighbors if you live in an apartment with thin walls.
All centrifugal models are noisy and you can expect that from them. It’s not something that only this Hamilton Beach can be accused of.
If you want quiet operations, you need a masticating model, like the Omega NC900 Cold Press Juicer Machine.
Another thing about centrifugal models is that they generate heat when they squeeze out the juice with their blades that are spinning very quickly thanks to a highly powerful motor.
It is considered that centrifugal models don’t preserve nutrients and vitamins as well as masticating juicers, who squeeze the juice with an auger that spins very slowly, thus their name cold presses.
On the other hand, if you don’t mind the noise, a centrifugal model is the one that will process 3, 5, 10 pounds of ingredients very quickly, in a few minutes. They’re very fast because they’re so powerful and they don’t slow things down as masticating juicers do in order to preserve nutrients and vitamins.
Thus, we keep in the fridge the juice from centrifugal juicers for up to 24 hours. And the one from masticating juicers for up to 3 days.
Features
The Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is basically the classic centrifugal juicer.
It’s affordable, noisy, very fast, and ready to process a few pounds of ingredients in a short time span.
It’s perfect if we’re on a budget and we want to enjoy a variety of ingredients in liquid form on a regular basis.
As it’s the norm, it includes a big pulp container. However, it lacks a juice container so you’ll have to use glasses, jars or whatever other container you want.
It has a 3 inch extra-wide feed chute that allows us to do minimal prep. It can fit whole apples and a hand of kale.
Although, there are people who mention that they get a higher yield from smaller chunks of ingredients.
Recipes
People are using it to make juice from carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes, apples, pears, beets, celery, peaches, plums, and grapes.
Someone else prefers making a combination of sweet (oranges, grapes, apples or berries) with greens (spinach, kale, celery, etc.) and roots like ginger.
Another user mentions that tough skinned fruits like apples and grapes juice well but clog the juicer’s mesh screen. We have to clean it every so often. So that the juice can drain in the glass instead of being sent to the pulp bin.
That’s good advice so make sure to maintain an unclogged mesh screen, especially if you use a larger quantity of ingredients.
If you juice grapes, add a bunch to the feed chute when the juicer is off, take the plunger, and then turn the juicer on and push the grapes towards the blades.
The user manual also includes a recipe called Vineyard Pop made with 1 cup grapes and 1 pear. Simple, juicy and delicious.
Another one is called Sour Grapes made with 1 lime, peeled and 2 cups red grapes. I love the name.
Of course, we can also use a blender if we want to make grape juice but it won’t be as smooth as the one made by a juicer or a juice steamer extractor due to the tough skin and the seeds. If you’re interested in blenders, check out my reviews for the best blender for carrot juice. Those are some powerful appliances that can handle grapes, too.
3. Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250
The Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250 doesn’t come directly equipped for making grape juice.
In its conception, it is a manual tomato strainer that separates tomato juice from skin and seeds.
However, it can do the same for our grapes. If we buy a thing called a grape spiral, that is like a red plastic auger.
Thankfully, the grape spiral is incredibly cheap. Just make sure to order one if you desire to make the Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250 the best grape juicer for your household.
The whole package will cost under $100.
And we can also buy a few other accessories for processing other fruits, like pumpkin, berries or for making salsa. It’s quite versatile.
The Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250 is wonderful for making grape juice.
A user mentions that they did 100 pounds of Concord grapes for juice with this tomato strainer and it was awesome.
All in all, we can use the Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250 to make tomato juice, tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, salsa, peach juice, pear juice, berries juice, grape juice, etc.
Features
If you don’t know what a manual tomato strainer is, let me tell you what you really need to know and expect.
We need to turn a manual handle continuously so that the auger crushes the fruits to extract the juice and pulp from them, while the skins and the seeds are sent to a different container.
You’ll have to provide both containers for juice and pulp.
Turning the handle doesn’t require force but it can be quite boring if you have to process hundreds of pounds in a single day.
The grape spiral really is necessary if we want to use the Kitchen Crop Johnny Apple Sauce Maker Model 250 to make grape juice .
The regular spiral that is included in the package will stop up and we need to clean it often. Well, the grape spiral avoids all that.
You can also run the pulp a second time if you find that the pulp is too wet. However, if you want a thicker consistency, I recommend only processing the fruits once.
The tomato strainer only comes with an apple/tomato screen and a standard spiral.
Besides the grape spiral that can be bought separately to transform this manual tomato strainer into a grape juicer for large quantities, there are other accessories we can buy.
These additional accessories are: salsa screen, pumpkin screen, and berry screen.
We can create a variety of sauces, juices, and jellies and even process pumpkin for pumpkin pie.
4. Mehu-Liisa 11 Liter Stainless Steel Steam Juicer
The Mehu-Liisa 11 Liter Stainless Steel Steam Juicer is highly similar to the Cook N Home Basics Canning Juice Steamer Extractor.
The main difference is that this one from Mehu-Liisa is significantly more expensive. It costs almost $200 so it’s certainly not cheap.
But it looks great and it’s highly rated. People love it, that’s for sure.
Features
The Mehu-Liisa 11 Liter Stainless Steel Steam Juicer is made of 18/10 professional gauge stainless steel. It looks really solid, high quality, durable. And it’s made in Finland.
It includes:
- 10.5 quart steamer insert
- 4.23 quart water pot
- silicone tube
- s/s clamp
- lid
We can use this set to extract 100% pure, delicious juice from fruits and berries, and steam cook complete meals.
What I also love is that it comes with a recipe book.
For grapes, at medium to high simmer, we can expect to take 60 minutes until all the juice is extracted.
It yields 2-3 cups per quart, much depending on ripeness and juiciness.
The complete list of fruits for which we are provided time and yield comprises: apples, apricots, berries (blueberries, blackberries, red and black currants, dew berries, elderberries, gooseberries, huckleberries, raspberries, strawberries), chokecherries, cherries, crabapples, cranberries, grapes, peaches, pears, rhubarb, plums, and tomatoes.
This long list clearly illustrates just how versatile and useful the Mehu-Liisa 11 Liter Stainless Steel Steam Juicer can be.
Moreover, the pulp left in the basket may be put through a food mill or pureed and used for jam.
The recipes included are: spiced apple juice, apple cranberry punch, hot apple punch, apple grape punch, cherry juice, cherry cocktail, cherry fruit soup, cranberry grape juice, grape juice, grape juice cocktail, and a lot more delicious recipes for juice, cocktails, punch, pudding, sauce, fruit soups, tomato juice, tomato bouillon and tomato paste, applesauce, fruit syrup, jelly making, etc.
And it even includes steaming recipes, including steamed veggies, poultry, turkey, ham, fish, shrimps, clams, and mussels, puddings, etc.
5. Breville Juice Fountain Plus Juicer
The Breville Juice Fountain Plus Juicer is the more expensive alternative to the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine.
Both work in pretty much the same way.
This Breville is also a centrifugal juicer that can be used to make our daily juice from grapes and whatever other fruits and veggies you want.
It’s also fast and noisy.
And people like it quite a lot.
Users make juice from carrots, spinach, grapes, apples, beets, cucumbers, blueberries, oranges, pineapple, and the list goes on.
Features
It features dual speeds.
Use the low speed for grapes and other softer fruits and leafy greens.
Use the high speed for hard veggies, like ginger, beets, etc.
The user manual includes an entire list of fruits and vegetables and which speed should be used for each.
The Breville Juice Fountain Plus Juicer comes with an unique extraction system. The titanium reinforced dish and Italian-made micro mesh filter basket are designed for optimum juice and nutrient extraction.
However, if you feel that the pulp from the pulp container is too wet, then juice it a second time.
The 3 inch extra-wide chute feed allows us to juice whole fruits and vegetables without pre-cutting.
It also includes a fairly big 1.1 qaurt juice jug.
6. Omega NC900 Cold Press Juicer Machine
I partially left the Omega NC900 as my last recommendation as the best grape juicer because it’s so incredibly expensive.
You’ll need a budget around $400 if you decide that an expensive masticating juicer is exactly what you’re looking for.
But I also saved it for last because it’s not exactly my top favorite. I will admit that masticating juicers come with considerable advantages:
- preserving nutrients and vitamins
- being able to store the juice produced by them for up to 3 days in the fridge
- and the low noise they make
However, the Omega NC900 is also quite pricey. If you can afford it, that’s awesome. It’s great for our daily juice made with grapes and a bunch of other ingredients thrown in the mix.
Features
The 80 RPM single auger moves at a slow speed to minimize heat built-up and oxidation.
And it ensures a quiet operation.
It also comes with 5 adjustable pressure settings.
It’s versatile. And it includes a bunch of accessories that allows us to use the Omega NC900 for various juices and other recipes.
We can use this Omega to make: baby food, celery juice, citrus juice, fruit juice, leafy greens juice, nut butters, nut milks, pasta, sorbet, vegetables juice, and wheatgrass juice.
It comes with:
- 1 juice cone
- 4 nozzles (3 pasta & 1 breadstick)
- pulp bowl
- homogenizing cone
- and juice bowl
All in all, looking for the best grape juicer offers us the possibility of discovering the world of juicers, both centrifugal and masticating, steam juicers, and tomato strainers with a grape spiral as an accessory, which is incredible and we can be sure that we’ll be able to find the right one for us.
