Personally, looking for the most expensive air fryer models was going to be a very interesting way to spend a few days to do my research, test, and then write all about it.
I love looking for kitchen appliances, kitchen tools, cooking ingredients and their substitutes, cookbooks, recipes, and everything that has to do with food. From someone who could barely cook in high school I became a total devotee in college when I discovered just how amazing cooking is.
However, if there is one part in all these things that I don’t make a habit of is looking for the most expensive of anything, including deliberately wanting to find the most expensive air fryer models.
But I think doing the work for this article is going to be fun.
Whenever I write reviews for anything, be it the best Korean rice cookers or the best risotto pans or even the best rice washer etc. I always try to present a balanced overall picture.
I always include expensive options because, in most cases, they tend to be awesome. A clear example is KitchenAid in the world of mixers. Or Vitamix for the blenders universe. Thus, those who can afford the most expensive of anything tend to look for that because we equate expensive with high quality, high performance, durability, etc.
However, I am also aware that not everyone is going to go for the most expensive thing in most areas. So, I always look for affordable and cheap options, as well. Of course, even if they are affordable, they must provide top quality, otherwise the cheap price becomes irrelevant.
So, talking only about the most expensive air fryers is a deviation. And I welcome it wholeheartedly.

The Most Expensive Air Fryer Models Reviews
When I thought about reviewing the most expensive air fryers, my thought immediately went to Breville.
Well, if I were to write about the most expensive toasters or the most expensive blenders or the most expensive many other things, I would automatically think: does Breville make one of those?
So, Breville is definitely a manufacturer that will feature in our search for the most expensive air fryer models. We shall see what other names will join it.
On the other hand, if someone were to tell me that they wanted an excellent air fryer that has a decent price, while definitely not being the cheapest we could buy, my thoughts would head straight out for Ninja.
Ninja is an excellent air fryer manufacturer that most of the time combines affordable prices with top-notch quality. They also have some pretty pricey options so that’s another name you can count on coming across.
Ninja also made the top of the list when I was looking for the best air fryer grill combo. This brand is pretty much my top favorite in this niche of amazing kitchen appliances that allows us to cook food with barely any oil.

1. Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro BOV900BSS: One of the Most Expensive Air Fryer Models
The price will depend on where you buy it and where you live on this planet. However, what I can say is that the price for the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro will most likely start at around $400 or a bit more.
Is that price high enough to qualify this Breville as one of the most expensive air fryer models?
It certainly is.
The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is also one of the best combo air fryer-toaster ovens.
Thus, this is a pretty big countertop toaster oven with an air fryer function and the necessary accessories for air frying.
If you already own a countertop oven, you might not prefer this Breville because you’ll be adding yet another countertop oven to your kitchen with the difference that this one has the air fryer function and accessories.
So, if you’re looking for basket air fryers, those who preserve the original design, then you might not have a good chance of finding one if you’re looking for the most expensive models. The most expensive options belong to the air fryer-toaster ovens category.
On the other hand, a countertop air fryer toaster oven can be perfect for those who don’t already own a countertop oven and for those who love the idea of owning one. Plus, it offers a lot of cooking functions, versatility, and plenty of space to feed a pretty big family quite quickly.

Components
I love the components that come with this Breville:
- 13 inch pizza pan
- oven racks (2)
- 9 x 13 inch broil rack and enamel roasting pan
- mesh basket rack for dehydrating and air frying
Size
Its dimensions are: 21.5 x 17.5 x 12.7 inches.
Breville describes the Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro with Element IQ as a great choice for those who want a countertop oven that can roast for large gatherings, air fry crispy French fries, and dehydrate a wide range of foods.
From this description, we’re expecting a pretty generous size that allows us to cook a large quantity of food at one time.
We are told that it has a 1 cubic feet interior. For some people, that might not translate into much.
That’s why I prefer checking out how much we can cook at once for certain foods.
For example, we can toast 9 slices of bread. Remember, besides the air fryer function, this is also a countertop toaster oven.
It can roast a 14 pound turkey. That’s impressive, absolutely.
Another indication of its big size is that it can fit a 5 quart Dutch oven. 5 quart Dutch ovens are not small at all. Plus, it means that you can bake some delicious bread for your family because Dutch ovens are the perfect cookware for making bread.
It also fits most 9 x 13 inch pans.
And 12 cup muffin trays.
If you want to learn more about what you can cook with this Breville, check out their recipe book because it’s pretty nice.
Cooking functions
- Toast
- Bagel
- Broil
- Bake
- Roast
- Warm
- Pizza
- Proof
- Airfry
- Reheat
- Cookies
- Slow cook
- Dehydrate
Besides all these many cooking functions that sound amazing, there’s another feature that blows me away.
The temperature range is 80 to 480 degrees F. The maximum of 480 degrees F allows us to make delicious homemade pizza in this Breville air fryer.
We can pretty much cook everything we want, including slow cook and dehydrating foods for amazing snacks.
I also love that pizza cooking function. It’s a great countertop pizza oven, as well.
And it even works for proofing dough or for making yogurt.
While the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is one of the most expensive air fryer models, it certainly includes enough cooking functions, a big size, and interesting technologies to totally justify the high price.
It’s an impressive air fryer oven, one of the best, no doubt about it.
Well, it also features some negative user reviews, so maybe you can also check a few of those out.
However, the ratio of positive reviews to negative reviews is very high. I’m totally satisfied with recommending the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro as not only one of the most expensive air fryers but also one of the best, as well.
2. Ninja SP351 Foodi Smart 13-in-1 Dual Heat Air Fry Countertop Oven
The Ninja AF101 is one of my top favorites and it’s a fantastic model if you’re looking to keep the price around $100. Moreover, the Ninja Air Fryer XL is another favorite for bigger families.
However, since we’re here to review the most expensive air fryer models, we’re going to review other Ninja models.
Indeed, there are a few Ninja air fryers that I want to recommend as some of the most expensive. There’s not just one, which is absolutely awesome.
First, let’s start with the Ninja SP351, which has a price around $300. It’s pretty expensive, just not as expensive as the Breville from above.
The Ninja SP351 is also another model that is designed like a countertop oven with an air fryer function and the needed accessories.
Components
- wire rack
- 13 x 13 inch sheet pan
- air fry basket
- removable crumb tray
It also includes an integrated Foodi Smart Thermometer to achieve the perfect doneness from rare to well done at the touch of a button.
Size
It measures 13 x 13 x 4.05 inches.
Thus, it’s obviously on the smaller side.
In fact, the whole point of this Ninja air fryer oven is to occupy less space if we don’t have too much free space on the countertop. We can flip it up and away to store it against our kitchen backsplash. So it takes 45% less space like that.
It has a 0.62 cubic feet capacity. It’s another indication that the Ninja SP351 is on the smaller side because the Breville that I recommended first has a 1 cubic feet capacity.
The air fry basket holds up to 4 pounds of food. That’s pretty good if you don’t have a very big family.
We can fit up to 6 chicken breasts, cook a 2 pound roast or air fry up to 4 pounds of ingredients.
It also fits a 13 inch pizza and up to 9 slices of toast.
So, while the Ninja SP351 seems to be smaller, it can actually cook pretty big food quantities. And it looks so sleek on the outside. I love this space maximization that it brings.
Cooking functions
- Air fry
- Sear crisp
- Rapid bake
- Frozen pizza
- Fresh pizza
- Griddle
- Air roast
- Bake
- Broil
- Toast
- Bagel
- Dehydrate
- Reheat – it can be used as a microwave substitute
3. Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven: One of the Best French Door Toaster Ovens
Even though it’s significantly less expensive than the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, the Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven offers something that the Breville doesn’t offer as one of the most expensive air fryer models.
We actually get two ovens, one smaller on top and the one on the bottom bigger, almost the size of a countertop air fryer oven.
The bigger one on the bottom is the one that includes the air fry cooking function.
The Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven is one of my favorites. I also reviewed it as one of the best air fryers with racks and one of the best French door toaster ovens as an alternatives to the classic French door ovens.
Let’s see what it offers as one of the most expensive air fryer models.
Components
We have two separate ovens. We can use these ovens at the same time on two different cooking functions to cook two completely different meals. Or we can use just one and the other is turned off.
Since we have two ovens, it’s only natural that we get double the components:
- 2 sheet pans
- 2 wire rack
- air fry basket
- removable crumb tray
- chef created recipe book with 15 recipes
I love that we get everything we need for cooking in two ovens at the same time, one of them serving as an air fryer, too.
You can also check out this YouTube video for a visual introduction to this Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven.
And you can also check out some recipes here.
The Flexdoor ensures that we can cook 2 meals, 2 ways on the top and bottom.
And the Flavorseal technology prevents smells from crossing between ovens so our flavors stay separate.
Cooking functions
Each of these two ovens is very different.
The smaller one, the toaster oven on top has the following cooking functions:
- Broil
- Toast
- Bagel
- Reheat
- Keep warm
We also get some buttons: Top, Temp|Shade, Time|Slices.
The bottom is a complete oven due to its cooking functions and its much bigger size:
- Whole roast
- Air roast
- Air fry
- Conv bake
- Pizza
- Dehydrate
These array of cooking functions, 12 in total, demonstrate that Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven is a complex appliance that can cook so much.
Size
Its dimensions are: 18.6 L x 16.39 W x 13.26 H inches.
Overall, the Ninja 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven can be used to make for 4 servings. So it can be enough for a family of 4.
We can make: 1-2 pounds chicken nuggets. 6-12 fish fillets, 1-2 pounds French fries, 4-6 chicken breasts, 12 drumsticks, etc.
In the top oven we can also make 4 grilled cheese sandwiches.
4. Ninja FG551 Foodi Smart XL 6-in-1 Indoor Grill with Air Fry
The most expensive air fryers are combo air fryer-toaster ovens. So they’re shaped like countertop toaster ovens.
The Ninja FG551 is an exception.
However, it isn’t shaped like a classic basket air fryer either. It mostly looks like a miniature outdoor grill. Well, since it’s an air fryer grill combo for the indoors, the design truly makes sense. And I love the design.
It’s a fantastic option if you aren’t looking for an air fryer that looks like a countertop oven. And if you want an air fryer that can work as a very good indoor grill. It’s certainly an interesting combination to encounter.
Components
- 9 x 12 inch grill grate with ceramic coating
- 4 quart crisper basket with ceramic coating
- 4 quart cooking pot with ceramic coating
All these components offer PTFE- PFOA-free cooking thanks to that ceramic coating for all three. That’s another bonus.
It also comes with the Foodi Smart Thermometer.
Size
The dimensions are: 15.7 x 11.1 x 16 inches.
The XL size is a good clue that this is designed for families. Ninja mentions that it can cook up to 50% more food for a family-sized meal.
The Ninja AG301 is much cheaper in part because it’s smaller, while following the same principle: basket below for air fryer and grill plate on top for indoor grilling.
Ninja FG551 can grill up to 6 steaks at once. So that means that the grill component is really big. I’m satisfied with this size given the price of the Ninja FG551.
It fits 24 hot dogs.
The 4 qt basket for the air fryer function is a decent size, although it’s certainly not very big.
Cooking functions
- Grill
- Air crisp
- Roast
- Bake
- Broil
- Dehydrate
For the grill part on top, there are 4 smart cook settings:
- Beef
- Poultry
- Pork
- Fish
Plus, these 4 protein settings come with 9 customizable doneness levels. Of course, the pork and poultry must always be well done.
But I like that the Ninja FG551 helps even not very experienced cooks make the perfect grilled meat. You can grill the perfect steak, even if you want it rare, med rare, med, med well, or well done.
The max temperature for the grill is 500 degrees F. It uses cyclonic grilling technology.
5. Ninja OL601 Foodi XL 8 Qt. Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid
Ninja always has such interesting air fryers. From their classic basket models to air fryer + grill to amazing air fryers ovens to this combination of pressure cooker + air fryer.
They’re all fascinating so the final choice will depend on your cooking needs and tastes, if you decide to go for Ninja.
Components
- deluxe reversible rack – this is one magnificent component that the Ninja OL601 comes with because it doubles the cooking capacity or we can make 3-component full meals
- 8 quart nonstick cooking pot (ceramic coated, PTFE/PFOA-free)
- 5 quart nonstick cook & crisp basket (ceramic coated, PTFE/PFOA-free)
The SmartLid allows us to unlock 3 cooking models and 14 cooking functions all under one lid.
Size
It is described as being extra-large with a family-sized capacity that has the ability to pressure cook, air fry, and SteamCrisp.
The 8 quart nonstick cooking pot can serve 8-10.
The 5 quart nonstick cook & crisp basket can fit 4 pounds of French fries.
Plus, the inspiration guide is a helpful resource if you want to make an idea about what you can cook with the Ninja OL601 Foodi XL 8 Qt. Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid.
Cooking functions
- Pressure cook
- Steam & crisp
- Steam & bake
- Air fry
- Broil
- Bake/roast
- Dehydrate
- Sear/sauté
- Steam
- Sous vide
- Slow cook
- Yogurt
- Keep warm & proof
The SteamCrisp technology allows us to steam and crisp at the same time for faster, juicier, crispier results without drying out.
The Ninja OL601 also promises us that we can prepare quicker meals: 70% faster cooking vs slow cooking, 40% faster 1-touch meals vs traditional cooking methods and 25% faster artisan bread and cakes vs traditional ovens.
6. Instant Omni Pro 19 QT Air Fryer Toaster Oven
We’ve seen what Breville and Ninja offer when it comes to some of the most expensive air fryer models. Now, let’s check another very popular model, the Instant Omni Pro 19 QT.
Already, the 19 QT size sounds impressive but it remains to be seen how much food we can actually cook in it.
Components
- rotisserie lift
- rotisserie spit
- air fry basket
- oven rack
- enamel baking tray
- temperature probe
Size
I like the design. It’s narrower and taller than a classic toaster oven. So I like how the Instant Omni Pro 19 QT Air Fryer Toaster Oven looks.
We can fit a 12 inch pizza.
6 slices of bread.
A whole chicken.
It’s not overly big, it’s absolutely on the smaller side.
Cooking functions
- Air fry
- Broil
- Bake
- Roast
- Dehydrate
- Rotisserie
- Toast
- Warm
- Convection
- Slow cook
- Proof
- Split cook
- Temperature probe
The rotisserie cooking function is certainly new and it might be a very appealing one for some home cooks.
I also love the Split Cook function because it’s absolutely something that we almost never come across.
It allows us to combine two cooking functions or temperatures to run one after the other. It’s certainly interesting.
The adjustable temperature ranges from 170 to 450 degrees F. It’s a pretty normal range.
We also get 7 customizable toasting levels for perfect bread and bagels.
All in all, the Instant Omni Pro 19 QT Air Fryer Toaster Oven qualifies as one of the most expensive air fryer models but my favorites remain the appliances from Breville and Ninja.
